3 Days Tour from Fes to Marrakech via Merzouga Desert

Overview:

The 3 Days Tour from Fes to Marrakech via Merzouga is a pretty long journey, we start the trip very early from Fes to Merzouga village passing by Ifrane. This city is known by Moroccans as the small Switzerland of Morocco. We will have a stop here and also in the next villages for taking pictures. Then we drive further direction Midelt where we have a lunch break before continuing the journey to the Ziz valley to arrive at the end of the day at the sand dunes. The night will be in a camp in Berber tents in the middle of the Moroccan Sahara desert.

We also will have a camel ride around the camp and enjoy the sunset from the top of the sand dunes of Merzouga. And other days you will visit Kasbahs and old Berber villages and you will spend the night in hotels/Riads. You can take pictures anywhere and anytime you will have fun.

Itinerary:

Day1: Fes-Ifrane-Midelt-Ziz Valley-Erfoud-Merzouga

The first day will start from your accommodation at 8 am, our first stop at Moroccan Switzerland Ifrane city and you can take a picture of The Atlas lion status. The next stop will be in Michigan, you will see and take pictures of Berber apes.
Lunch stop in Midelt after we will cross through the Tizi n Talghamt Pass. Then we will be in the desert areas and we will stop in the Ziz valley to take pictures of beautiful palms.
The drive will continue to Merzouga after taking a rest and freshen up in preparation for a camel ride through the Merzouga Dunes. The dinner well served in the camp under the stars and nomads will make Berber music for you.

Day2:  Merzouga-Tinjdad-Todra Valley-Tinghir-Dades valley

Early morning. You will wake up for enjoying the sunrise up of dunes. After breakfast and taking a shower, you will have 2 options come back to Merzouga (ride camel or 4×4). In Merzouga, you will find your driver waiting for you t start you the second day. We will drive through the black desert. And the first stop will be in Rissani the oldest city in the desert area. We will visit the marketplace. Then continue to Todra Gorges (the romantic place) and you can hike a little bit. After lunch, we will drive through the Berber villages and Kasbah. And you will spend your night in a Riad or Kasbah in Dades valley.

Day3: Dades Valley-S’koura-Ouarzazate-Ait Ben Haddou-Atlas Mountains-Marrakech

After taking a shower and breakfast, we will drive through the thousand kasbahs road, the rose valley (Kalaa M’gouna), and Skoura oasis. Then we will for visiting Ouarzazate’s Studios. Which is the Moroccan Hollywood city, also it is known for its solar tower station (Noor Power station), Then we move to visit the Kaser of Ait Benhaddou, one of the oldest Kasbahs in Morocco, it is known for filming movie production, such as “games of thrones”, “Gladiator”, “Lawrence of Arabia”. And others, after lunch, we will continue our journey driving via Tizi N’tichka pass with stops along, arrive in Marrakech at 6:00 pm.
